Every year in November, we come together to honor and thank all those who have bravely served our country. We remember those who serve in the military, their families, and those who attend to the needs of returning veterans. Recently, the Nutley community showed its support of veterans with its annual Veterans Day ceremony on November 11. We are excited to announce Vince DeNotaris, of Northwest Essex Community Healthcare Network, was named ‘Veteran of the Year’.
Congratulations to Vincent DeNotaris on being recognized for the critical counseling and support he lends to veterans in need. Serving and supporting his fellow veterans is something Denotaris is very passionate about – not something he does for recognition. According to TAPinto Nutley, “I am on a rescue mission for our veterans. They need to be assisted with adjusting to civic life again, hear validation of their trauma and the experiences they had in defense of our country. I thank Nutley for letting me do this,” said DeNotaris.
Northwest Essex Community Healthcare Network would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you for serving” to our in-house veterans; Vince DeNotaris, Rosalina Tuazon-Mossey, and Gerry Mossey (who also placed flags on the graves of the Unforgotten in Montclair, New Jersey).
Our support for our veteran colleagues and community doesn’t start and end with Veterans Month. Looking beyond Veterans Month, we can all play a part in championing our veterans, just as they have supported us. If you’re a member of the armed forces or a veteran and are seeking Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment, please contact Northwest Essex Community Healthcare Network.
